We Love Katamari
Im playing both We Love Katamari and Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil! Talk about both ends of the spectrum. Both are great. If you have a problem with Doom 3 Ressurrection of Evil running good here's a trick, start up the game watching the whole intro then turn it off and start it back up again should run fine. Still playing World of Warcraft and am in a guild called Legends of Dawn. I want my mount!!

World of Warcraft has come at a high price of my soul. I am enjoying it so much and have spent over 48 hours of game time in Azeroth. If anyone else playes list a name and server in a comment and maybe we can meet up.
Something destroyed my radiator in my car so that set me back a few duckets.
Hurt my leg so I'm out of work for a few days...wonder what I should do to past the time..wow (pun intended) I'm addicted.
Oh yeah, I'm not gonna feel like writing everyday as I get people looking but not commenting. If you want more posts say someting.

World of Warcraft

I am enslaved...
Well I know im late at this one, but I finally got World of Warcraft and I am very happy to say the least. I am playing a Rogue Night Elf named Silma on the Greymane server should anyone wanna team up. I am determined to explore every corner of this mmorpg. The game looks amazing, has the best presentation (better than Guild Wars or Everquest), and is very easy to play for just a short while. I love it. 10 out of 10 duh.
I'm also playing Ghost Recon 2.

Forza Motorsport

Forza
I picked up Forza Motorsport and have really been enjoying it (imagine that!). Looks good, plays good, and is quite realistic. The damage your car takes is much enjoyed since most well known racing games don't have damage though they call themselves simulation racing...GTA4...cough, cough. The decal controls could have been better but once mastered they are very impressive and make each car unique. Should be a platnium hit soon. Check it out if you are tired of Midnight Club and want a more realistic racer. 9.5 out of 10.

Well I've been down in Atlanta for a week and have been very busy in classrooms being taught by 70+ Home Depot vendors. I will be a merchandiser for a company called MSI for Home Depot stores in the Lawn and Garden dept. Looks like it will be alot of fun. Atlanta was hell driving around in but I did see the Atlanta Braves play and lose against the Pirates on Thurday. Turner Field was quite impressive. MSI gave all of us new hires a Symbol MC50 pda with camera, and I've been having fun trying to figure it out!

Now that I'm back I will be posting at least once aday.

This "Person who rocked" is by special request, though I also agree. Big Trouble in Little China stared a then young Kurt Ressell as Jack Burton, truck driver turned savior of the world. Come on we all knew he would do the job he stands a good foot taller then anyone else in the movie! With a truck named the Pork Chop Express, Jack Burton is setting himself up for all kinds of tomfoollery! Rest in Peace Jack Burton, you rocked!

Can't stop playing GTA San Andreas! This is the second time playing the game and it's even better now that I'm trying to do everything the game has to offer. I don't see the reason to spend $30 on a Action Replay to see the whole Hot Coffee crap that the world has gone bonkers talking about. Just glad I got it at Best Buy before they stopped selling it like they and other stores are doing. Got to go build up my swimming and look for more pictures to take in San Fiero!

Man talk about irony...Sen. Hillary Clinton (hold back vomit...) says that games like GTA San Andreas are trying to advertise porn to children because of the Hot Coffee mod (simulated sex in San Andreas, Rockstar denies putting it in the game, hackers claim they found it in the game's code). Of all the people I doubt she has any ground to stand on when it comes to sex, the public, and telling children about it, thanks to her husband (hey Hillary I thought it was all a right wing conspiracy?). I find it funny that its the left that's against videogame sex and violence but its the left that star, do voice work , and promote videogames. Hey parents the game has a Mature rating! Try to parent your kid and watch what he is playing or what YOU are buying for them!!!

Review: I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I can say that it is a smarter incarnation than the one we grow up with. Depp does a good, and "different" job at Wonka. Nothing will be like the original which imo has some flaws. This incarnation is a much more nutt filled chocolate bar with depth into Wonka and Charlie. It gives more story about why the factory is there, who are the Oompa Loompas and where did they come from. I think this movie is a good version for today's youth if they have not seen the original. This version is enjoyed much more if you dump any love you have for the first one and say I will look at it with fresh eyes. The end, while not as triumphant, is more thought out. I saw the movie being much more about Charlie's choices rather than a test as in the first one. 8 out of 10.

GTA San Andreas

GTA San Andreas
I had played San Andreas on PS2 and beaten it, but didn't completely do everything in the game. I finally, with much teeth pulling, was able to get it again ( I traded my PS2 copy months ago) on Xbox. I like the improved look jaggies and all. People have been bitching about the control scheme for Xbox but it hasn't really been too bad yet. Its such a huge game and I plan on squeezing this game dry this time around. The custom soundtracks make the Xbox versions the best in my opinion. Thank God
changing your wardrobe is faster! 10 out of 10. Disagree?

I really wish that someone would crack PSP firmware 1.51. I know it took them a long time to crack 1.50 but maybe since they were able to do that they are already close to cracking 1.51. Should they be able to do this, we are talking about all sorts fo emulators, homebrew games and applications, hell there is even a local wi-fi weather application!. Oh well just feeling down that I upgraded my PSP to 1.51 before I found out about this whole homebrew crap. Oh well I'll cross my fingers that it will be cracked soon.

Team America World Police

Team America F*ck Yeah!
Watched Team America last night and now I have the "America F*ck Yeah" song pounding through my head. Movie was quite funny with a handful of gut exploding parts. I loved all the songs and I can't believe the guy who did the music to Metal Gear Solid 2 and The Rock did the score! Scenes of note are, sex scene (amazing yet beautiful what 2 people can share), vomitting scene, "Matt Damon", montage scene, and all the celebs getting theirs. 7.5 out of 10. The wife slept through most of it.

Well still playing Lumines and Halo 2. I didn't buy the new maps for Halo 2 yet as they will be free on August 30th. Lumines is so good and I have started to ace the puzzle mode which I first thought to be very difficult but have sinced gotten the hang of it. I hope the weather is good this weekend so I can get in my 40 foot pool (its really only 12 feet long). Crossing my fingers that someone cracks the PSP 1.51 Firmware very soon.

This is, in my opinion, the best video game ever created by man. Graphics, music, ambience, weapons, bosses, length of game, items, cool characters this game has it all. If I was stranded on a desert island, this would be the game I take. There will never be another this good.

Vagrant Story was a great RPG/Action game for the Playstation 1 and I loved it. It had some of the best graphics on PS and a unique looking comic feel to the game. Huge bosses, top notch music and a great story. I would love for this game to have a sequel or be ported over to the PSP.

Counting down till the release of the next maps for Halo2! I haven't played much online lately as I have been looking forward to these new maps to come out. I still haven't decided if I will wait till they are free or go ahead and get them now. Free is always good even if you have to wait. Tuesday July 5th is the day. War of the Worlds

War of the Worlds
I saw War of the Worlds today and I was pleased. Pros: Great Sci-Fi, very good SFX, aliens looked cool, very intense at parts, good casting with Cruise, smarter ending than original, awesome entrance from aliens. Cons: Hollywood ending that wasn't as bad as critics say, characters not acting like normal humans would react ( people taking their van scene), I miss the flying saucers, big error casting Tim Robbins ( he shows up and the movie loses some steam), scene at the end taken straight out of Half-Life 2. Overall: Good but not one of the best movies from Spielberg especially after Minority Report (mediocre) and A.I. (rubish). 8.5/10.

Unreal Championship 2
There is a content download for Unreal Championship 2 available. The content lets you play as the bots and gives you 3 new stages. Its a good download but it's really just unlocking the bots and the stages that are already in the game, oh well. I'm still happy and if you like deathmatch and capture the flag FPS games pick this one up. I like the changes and am happy to have an evolving of a game genre. Third Person Camera and Melee rocks!

The Sopranos
The wife and I are watching season 5 of the Sopranos today. We worked in the yard and are just lounging around today. Gonna have Chick-Fila and watch some more. Its a great show and only one of a few still on TV that I care to watch as I think most scripted TV is ass. I watch a good bit of reality shows but thats only because scripted stuff has gotten to be real filth. When the X-Files went off the air that was a turning point I think for TV ( though the last 2 seasons without Mulder are trash. The last episode of X-Files was a turd as well ).

I traded in 8 games today, 4 GBA, and 4 Xbox games and got $40 store credit at Gamestop, can you believe that? Trading in games ain't what it used to be. Even so, Lumines is awesome! Its like Tetris but a little different. It's uniqueness is the mixture of sound, colors, and graphics. When you make a 2x2 square or larger it goes away. When your square goes away it makes a sound that fits nicely into the background music. The game is Tetris or Columns meets you being a D.J. The game has multiplayer vs. cpu or Wireless Adhoc (not over wifi router, someone in the area). You unlock different background skins and music as you complete the game. Highly recommeded. Lumines gets a 9 out of 10.

Batman Begins Review

Batman Begins 9/10
Batman Begins is a welcome return of the Dark Knight on the big screen. The damage he took in the previous installments can be pushed into the corners of your mind. I thought Christian Bale did a great job as Batman and enjoyed the scene where he was lifting the cop into the air and yelling at him, it showed the angry Batman we've seen in comics. Emotions can direct others into action. The darker setting is much needed and the supporting cast did a great job. I will agree on the "no strong villian complaint" and the terrible fight scene camera work and editing. Overall I give the movie a well deserved 9 out of 10. It's my favorite comic book movie and not Spiderman as I am not a fan of either of the Webcrawlers outings (most people thought they were fantastic, not I). I will soon have my review out for Star Wars Return of the Sith, I'm just trying to build up the strength. Sigh.

Well almost 80 people glanced, looked, or skimmed through my blog today. I'm happy about the number and I hope to get better at posting. We shall see what the future brings. Ate some Chinese buffet tonight, it wasn't the best but I did stuff myself. My friends are finishing up their Call of Cthulhu characters and passing the time with remarks about how my blog is dumb. Oh well... I'm certain I could list things for day about them that would make you snicker at their....uniqueness. Tomorrow is another day...

Movies of Today are Crap?

A new AOL poll stated that half of the people surveyed said that movies of today are worst than movies of the past. I am gonna to agreed with this statement. Some people today will say that "hey they are running out of ideas" but I say they just want a quick buck. Its the dumbing down of the modern moviegoer. Movies like the Honeymooners, The Dukes of Hazard, and Bewitched are only made because they will make money (a good reason) and they are already something we know and (maybe) enjoy. To me its like an experiment gone wrong, "lets see what the A-Team would look as a feature film!" Oh where are the movies that lasted through the ages (please don't look through my profile and tell me the movies I like have not lasted through the ages, I know some of them haven't or won't)? What are your 2 cents?

I played some Lifeforce with my buddy Jeff last night. Lifeforce is a great 2 person shooter on the NES. Thanks to the Konami Code we were able to beat it as it is quite impossible with out it. FYI Lifeforce is called Salamander in Japan. We also played some Cabal, Rambo, Maniac Mansion, Operation Wolf, and TMNT.
Let me know some of your favorite NES, SNES, Genisis, Gameboy, or any other old school game!!! Maybe I've played it, beaten it, hated it, or need to buy it.

We also started to make some Call of Cthulhu Rpg Characters since we are gonna start playing that again. I also play AD&D, Warhammer, Star Wars (D6 version), and S.L.A. Industries (you might not of heard of).

Guild Wars - My character's name is Sasha Glintsoul should anyone want to join up. She is a 20th level Ele/Mem and she has rank 14 Fire so she can really lay down some AOE.

PSP - I really wish I hadn't updated my firmware to 1.51 since I still can't use Homebrew. I remember the PS2 launch and how people moaned and complained that there was nothing to play and that Sony was not doing anything. Well the same is being said about PSP and I think give it a few months or maybe into next year and the system will be kicking. They really need to put out a detachable harddrive for it, that would help it out big time.

XBOX - I still think the XBOX has life left in it and the 360 is coming a bit early. Half-Life2 is just about to come out for it and if that game (bad ending again!) can come out for it than it still has plenty of life in it (no pun).

Thoughts on Videogame Graphics

You know I love when a game has photo realistic graphics but there is still a part of me that loves seeing a company use graphics that obviously aren't like a picture, they're good, but they still retain that fantasy or comic book look. Fable imo had good graphics, Halo2 as well, but they weren't like looking like a picture. I hope that developers will still use "videogame" graphics for the upcoming next-gen games. I guess its my old school gamer in me.

What I'm Playing...

Well I think I will start a regular segment about the current videogames I am playing. As you can see I said "videogames" since I'm always playing at least 4 games at one time.
-Xbox : Unreal Championship 2, love it even though guys living in the past want the same game for years.
waiting for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory download but not sure why as I haven't beaten this one.
-PSP : Wipeout Pure, I love the series and this one was made for handheld, gamma pack 2 tomorrow with new
tracks and skins, should be fun.
-PS: Final Fantasy 9, playing it again, I now remember why its my favorite FF game.
-PC: Guild Wars, kinda slowing down on this one, dreaming about expansion and the money to buy it. Been
playing Battlefield 2 and just rocking other guys, name Dolgo, I'm always in the top 3 for my team.

Once I found out how to make my own with Photoshop I went crazy and my poor printer took the damage. Oh well they are cool though. Just put up my first picture of the Master Chief in my profile. Slow going but with a little time, and alot of screwing up things I think I will be able to get a hang of this Blog thing. Im still a little bit confused just how someone is gonna see my site but oh well its worth a shot.
